NewsHalloran & Sage filed an employment discrimination lawsuit Tuesday in Connecticut District Court against Jarvis Products. The complaint was brought on behalf of former employee Rebecca Simon, who claims she was terminated after raising concerns about the company's workplace safety. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:22-cv-00330, Simon v. Jarvis Products Corporation.
Simon alleges racial discrimination, sexual harassment and a hostile work environment as well as retaliation for complaints about "the failure by defendant to implement required COVID-19 safeguards," leading to her termination on Dec. 31, 2020. She asserts claims for violations of the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
