Attorney David R. Shannon has been chosen to succeed Dawn Gallo as the state's attorney for the Judicial District of Litchfield, it was announced today by Connecticut Supreme Court Justice Andrew McDonald, chair of the state's Criminal Justice Commission.
Shannon is expected to take over April 1, when Gallo's retirement becomes effective. Gallo has been on the job since 2019, and Shannon is expected to complete the remainder of her term, through June 30, 2025.
