With Age Comes Less Time for Stupid, Especially When Branded as Political Discourse
Despite their complete idiocy in not confronting the cancer within their party, the Republicans seem to have a better ear for the public mood than the Dems.

CommentaryI've reached the point where I am now the cranky old guy I used to complain about. I always wondered how seniors could be so negative and sour. Now I know. We're fed up, and the prospect of running out our clocks gives us little time for stupid.
I was a Republican for over 30 years. I served on town boards and commissions and did a stint as a selectman. Now the Republican Party which has formed up as a circular firing squad (I stole that from someone else and boy does it fit) in their slavish fealty to the last president. They've rebranded the January 6 coup as legitimate political discourse. That's the discourse you get in Trashcanistan or some other repressive regime. It reminded me of nothing more or less than the burning of the Reichstag. God forbid anyone offend The Former Guy. I have to admit, though, that it's kind of fun watching Ted Cruz grovel to Tucker Carlson on his "White Power Hour," attempting to retract his comment that this political discourse was an assault on our Capitol unparalleled in history. Cowardly Cruz. Kinda fits.
