A Hartford-based attorney, who received his law license in 2000, faces 13 years in prison after being convicted of multiple counts of fraud in connection with his tax returns between 2011 and 2015.

During that time, attorney Deron D. Freeman spent about $1.5 million on a custom-built home in Glastonbury, and traded his Bentley for a Ferrari, while ignoring warnings from his tax preparers, according to court documents.
