In announcing his latest round of judicial nominees Wednesday, President Joe Biden picked Connecticut U.S. District Judge Sarah A.L. Merriam to join the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Merriam is one of five new federal judicial nominees, all of whom the White House called “extraordinarily qualified, experienced, and devoted to the rule of law and our Constitution” in an official statement.
