The Connecticut Court of Appeals sided Tuesday with a veteran Westport attorney accused of legal malpractice, finding the trial court did not err in precluding another lawyer’s proposed expert testimony against him.

Alan Neigher, a licensed attorney since September 1965, was sued for legal malpractice stemming from his representation of former client Dr. Charles D. Gianetti in an underlying action against Norwalk Hospital. Gianetti alleged claims of breach of contract and antitrust violations after the hospital declined to renew his physician’s privileges in 1984.
