Connecticut and 34 other states have settled a case alleging kickbacks by Dallas-based Essilor Instruments USA, manufacturer of optical lenses and equipment.
Essilor will pay the United States and 35 states a total of $22 million plus interest as a result of the settlement, announced Friday by Connecticut Attorney General William Tong. The agreement will send $999,698.91 to Connecticut's Medicaid program.
