In a 5-year-old disciplinary case, Hartford attorney Joseph Elder was originally suspended for misconduct involving his IOLTA account and his failure to comply with court orders. During his suspension, he continued to practice law and falsely told a judge that he had been reinstated, according to court documents.
Elder has now been suspended for 18 months, effective immediately as of Oct. 3, according to the decision.
