Insurer W.R. Berkley was hit with a breach-of-contract lawsuit Wednesday in Connecticut District Court. The lawsuit, brought by Genova Burns on behalf of FMLASource Inc., alleges Berkley tried to improperly terminate its contract with the administrator for employee leave services.

The plaintiffs allege Berkley attempted “to manufacture complaints” to substantiate the contract termination, adding that Berkley had at least 5,257 employees covered under their agreement, and that FMLASource is owed in excess of $280,000.
