In the world of business shorthand, ESG isn’t the catchiest abbreviation. Three letters may seem simple enough—but “Environment, Social and Governance” is a lot to digest.
Suffice to say the title begs for a longer definition, as in: ESG measures corporate attention to environmental and social issues, impacting governance and, by extension, value to investors.
