For a legal audience, the impact of the Abraham Accords has been salutary. I would say that it has been fairly noticeable, certainly in the Dubai legal market, that the presence of Israelis has been far more visible. It’s now three hours door-to-door from downtown Tel Aviv to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). That had given a great deal of cause for optimism, as well as, of course, the news on the potential normalisation of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel.

The timing of this Hamas attack from the extent to which it appears to have been planned and coordinated very logistically—and in terms of the media presentation of it—is no accident.
