The alleged victim of a violent Nov. 4 assault at The Russian Lady in downtown Hartford filed a complaint against the bar and members of its security team after a video of the incident was posted online and appeared on television news broadcasts.

In a complaint filed Monday in Hartford Superior Court. Joshua Gilmore, 28, of Windsor, claimed he suffered a concussion, an 8-centimeter laceration to the back of his skull and a fractured elbow after being punched and knocked down stairs by Russian Lady bouncers. A video taken by a fellow patron has since gone viral on social media and has been broadcast by multiple news stations, resulting in the bar temporarily closing pending an investigation.
