Connecticut Should Skip ABA's Proposed Amendments to Rule 1.16
Aside from the amended rule's lack of clarity, it appears to address a problem that by and large does not exist in Connecticut.

CommentaryRecently, the America Bar Association passed a resolution that adopted proposed amendments to ABA Model Rule of Professional Conduct 1.16 and its comments concerning a lawyer declining or terminating representation. The proposed amendment imposes on lawyers a duty to investigate certain clients retaining them to make sure they are not doing so to help them commit illegal activities.
