State attorneys general are ramping up financial pressure in the U.S. Department of Justice’s antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation Entertainment and its wholly owned subsidiary Ticketmaster by seeking triple the amount of monetary damages if the court rules against the defendants. 

“Live Nation and Ticketmaster have abused the market to overcharge consumers and harm venues and artists, and my office will ensure this illegal conduct is stopped,” New York Attorney General Letitia James said in a statement Monday.
