Former Connecticut Supreme Court Chief Justice Richard Robinson has joined Day Pitney as a partner in the litigation department and a member of the appellate practice group.

Robinson made history in 2018 as the first Black chief justice of Connecticut's highest court, following five years as an Associate Justice. Throughout his 24 years of service in the Connecticut judiciary, he earned widespread respect for his leadership, integrity and dedication to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the judicial system. As co-chair of the Blueprint for Racial Justice Fairness & Awareness Working Group, Robinson has been a leading voice on DE&I issues nationwide, frequently delivering training and speaking on cultural competency.
