Attorney General William Tong announced Pike Fuels Limited Partnership, formerly known as Gulf Oil, reached an agreement with the commissioner of Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to pay $2 million to settle claims of violating environmental protection laws.
The alleged violations occurred at Pike Fuels' New Haven petroleum distribution facility, which were discovered during an investigation by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency in 2019.
