A Middletown jury awarded $1.4 million to a plaintiff injured in a car crash involving a city employee.
On June 13, 2022, the plaintiff, Sheila Jones, was driving through an intersection when the defendant, William Lardi, attempted to turn left and collided with the side of Jones' car, the complaint said. Middletown was also a named defendant as Lardi was an employee and used a vehicle owned by the city.
