U.S. Attorney Vanessa Roberts Avery announced she will resign on Jan. 17 from the U.S. Attorney's Office in the District of Connecticut.
President Joe Biden appointed Avery on May 9, 2022, as the 54th U.S. attorney for the District of Connecticut. The office ranked third nationally in 2023 after recovering over $233 million in criminal and civil actions.
