OK, some days just can’t seem to get going. Instead of jumping into the brief I have to write, or filing the many e-docs littering my in-box, I desperately look around for something to amuse and distract me. My latest hideout is something called Bar and Bench, which is a really neat web site catering to lawyers in India.

There is lots to distract you. For instance, there was a recent column called "The Lure of the Law" about the increasing prestige of the legal profession due to the development of the "national law universities," which are relatively new institutions devoted to educating lawyers in "an intensive training programme that combines theory and practice and mandated continuous evaluation and copious amounts of legal writing and research."
