Just a few weeks ago, a federal court in Connecticut ruled that a big financial services firm was obligated to give a financial advisor his old job back when he returned from Air Force Reserve duty in the Middle East.
But faced with a similar question regarding a Bristol police sergeant who wanted to return to the force after an Iraqi peacekeeping mission, the state Supreme Court recently ruled the other way.
