Though the ashes may still be warm, a few conclusions can be drawn from last week’s kidnapping of a woman – Hartford attorney Nancy Tyler – by her former husband and the siege that resulted as he held her at their house in South Windsor.
First, madness can explode anywhere, even in the most serene suburban neighborhood like the one where the siege happened, and such explosions become more likely as the economy worsens and people come under more stress.
