The parents of college freshman Justin Scott Brown, of Greenwich, have been awarded a $2.3 million court-approved settlement for his death three years ago as passenger of Evan Kimia, now 20.
Both men were classmates at Greenwich High School and had just finished their first week of classes at Norwalk Community College when the accident occurred at 12:40 a.m. Sept. 2, on Round Hill Road in Greenwich near Lake Avenue.
