In the first days of law school, there are the feelings of excitement, eagerness and unlimited possibilities. There’s also some uncertainty, anxiety and the weight of expectations from faculty, family and the bank that’s loaning money.

Those feelings are magnified in students who don’t come to law school straight out of college. At the University of Connecticut School of Law, the new class of 207 students in the JD program includes many who arrived in Hartford with work and life experiences that provide a different perspective on their studies.
