Jurors who have just selflessly fulfilled their civic duty seem like the last people the courts should be antagonizing.
If they served within the last three years, they’re excused. However, due to some bad statutory language, their names are not removed from the master list of eligible jurors, and too often, they are needlessly summoned by mail.
