A terrorism trial that got underway last week in New Haven came to the state almost by accident. The suspect is from Arizona. Many of the incidents under scrutiny occurred while the man, a convert to Islam, was aboard a Navy ship in the Middle East.
The classified information he allegedly leaked about ship movements was sent to a London-based group accused of running a web site that raised money, recruited fighters and provided equipment for terrorists.
