Newsflash: Waterbury State’s Attorney John Connelly is soft on crime. Neither I nor my Waterbury clients accused of crime have noticed any such thing. Neither have the residents of Connecticut’s death row, a club composed in overwhelming measure of men inducted by Connelly.

But State Senator Andrew McDonald, D-Stamford, blamed Connelly the other day for a vicious crime committed by a man fresh out of prison. Simply put, McDonald is an intellectual clubfoot, which is a polite way of calling him an idiot.
