First you attempt to walk a straight line, then you extend your arms and try touching your nose, and lastly you hope you’re not asked to repeat the alphabet backwards.

But almost assuredly, if you show signs of intoxication from those field sobriety tests, police will take you to the station where you will submit to a breath test so that police can determine your blood-alcohol content. If it’s over 0.08 percent, you’re almost guaranteed a DUI arrest.
