Just a couple of weeks into their new jobs, first-year associates at McCarter & English already were told they’re getting a raise.
Officials at the Newark, N.J.-based, 416-lawyer firm announced today that the starting salary at all eight of its offices will increase $10,000 to $135,000 effective Jan. 1, 2008. No distinctions in salaries will be made among offices that stretch from Boston to Baltimore, and include local outposts in Hartford and Stamford.
