In the spring of 2004, Laurie O’Donnell was faced with one of those life-changing decisions. Informed she was pregnant with twins, she had to decide whether to continue practicing law at the large Boston-based firm of Goodwin Proctor and juggle her career and family responsibilities, or leave the job and stay home to raise her children.

O’Donnell decided to leave Goodwin Proctor where she handled trusts-and-estate matters for four-and-a-half years.
