The lawyer for a Hartford police officer accused of unjustly shooting to death an unarmed teenager has lost his bid to recall the grand juror who heard evidence in the investigation that culminated in the officer’s arrest.

Suspended officer Robert Lawlor grimaced slightly as he turned to face supporters after Hartford Superior Court Judge Joseph Q. Koletsky denied defense lawyer Michael Georgetti’s “inventive” request for an evidentiary hearing.
