Employees subjected to verbal abuse in the workplace may have expanded legal recourse if a proposed statute gains approval from the state legislature.
Connecticut is one of 11 states considering legislation that would give victims of abuse like taunting and yelling the right to sue for damages. The others are Hawaii, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon and Washington.
