With the upcoming closing of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae’s Pittsburgh site on Feb. 1, that office’s attorneys may be asking themselves why the firm did not develop a client base in the city that extended beyond Alcoa Inc.

LeBoeuf opened the Pittsburgh office in 1993 to devote itself to Alcoa’s national litigation work. The closure represents what some consider the worst-case scenario for firms who rely on one client.
