Prominent Greenwich criminal defense attorney Philip D. Russell has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of obstructing justice and destroying evidence concerning child pornography.

The two-count indictment against Russell was returned yesterday and unsealed today. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Holly B. Fitzsimmons in Bridgeport and was released after posting bond in the amount of $100,000.
