Paralegals are commanding more money and respect than ever before, but there’s still progress to be made as the legal profession becomes increasingly sophisticated, some paralegals say.

One such step forward, leaders of local paralegal association increasingly suggest, is to make it a regulated profession, with paralegals being required to pass their equivalent of the state bar exam.
