Recent allegations of inappropriate spending within a federal program designed to meet the legal needs of the nation’s poor will have little to no effect on legal services funding in Connecticut, said Norman K. Janes, executive director of Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut Inc.

“It doesn’t have any impact on what we’re trying to do, and hopefully it doesn’t reflect on us,” Janes said last week.
