Daniel V. McPadden, a self-employed attorney who practiced law in Bridgeport for most of his 43-year career, died Nov. 9 2006 at the Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital Fairfield. He was 81. Born in Bridgeport, McPadden had been an Easton resident for 36 years. He attended The Juilliard School of Music in New York City before graduating from the University of Connecticut and UConn School of Law. McPadden is survived by his wife, Grace. Attorney Steven Paul Waterman died Nov. 13, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Nov. 11, 1953, Waterman moved with his family to Connecticut in 1981 when he began his career at the former Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon. During his 26-year legal career, he completed transactions in nearly all 50 states. Waterman is survived by his wife, Diane Louise Greene Waterman; and three children, John, a student at Richmond Law School, William, of Salt Lake City and Emily, a student at Depauw University.
