Given the whirlwind of backdating allegations, Haywood Gilliam couldn’t have picked a better time to change employers.
Until last month, Gilliam headed up the securities fraud section of the local U.S. attorney’s office in San Francisco, investigating and prosecuting companies facing questions over the timing of stock option grants. Next month, he’ll head to his new Bingham McCutchen office where he’ll be defending companies in the same hot water.
