After spectators packed the pews Nov. 28 in the Legislative Office Building to hear Democratic leaders announce plans to move ahead with campaign finance reform, Gov. M. Jodi Rell issued her statement of support. But she couldn’t resist a jab at the Democrats.

“On one other note, I still want a contracting reform bill that I can sign into law and I implore the majority to send me a stand-alone bill without the previous language that so many of us found objectionable,” Rell said in a written statement.
