The word “indemnification” suddenly crackles with excitement, as a result of the state’s legal malpractice suit against two of its former law firms for encouraging its trash-to-steam agency to loan Enron $220 million.
Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and the Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority are suing Hartford-based Murtha Cullina, CRRA’s former law firm, and Hawkins, Delafield & Wood, the state’s New York-based bond counsel to recover over $100 million not yet returned to CRRA.
