The most common assignment request Chief Court Administrator William J. Lavery hears is “not Stamford,” and it’s beginning to create problems.
Lavery made that surprising observation in his address at the annual meeting of state judges June 26, held coincidentally in the city’s new courthouse. “Stamford has, as you can see, a beautiful facility with 22 courtrooms and a great deal of business,” he said.
