A Superior Court judge, in an issue of first impression, could well provide guidance to the Connecticut Supreme Court with her analysis of a postal worker’s status in a property liability case.

In ruling that aided the case’s settlement last month, Hartford Superior Court Judge Lois Tanzer had to decide whether postman Richard K. Gatzki was a business visitor when he walked onto the Bloomfield property of Paul Shafer and allegedly was injured by a downed electrical line.
