During this time of year, the exotic pomegranate fruit makes its limited appearance in many produce stores.
It’s a wondrous and festive fruit, of a magnificent crimson hue, leather-textured skin and filled with tiny brilliantly colored jewel-like seeds yielding an ineffably delicious taste. Being of Armenian extraction, I have grown up favoring the noble pomegranate. Each year, when the very short lived pomegranate season arrives, I partake with gusto.
