With Connecticut’s third probate regional children’s court officially opening in New London on June 28, hopes are high that the success of the two-year-old New Haven pilot court can be replicated across the state.

Heralded for its efficiency and effectiveness in aiding children in crisis, the New Haven regional court boasts a level of social service unmatched in any of the local probate courts, and has made it the “go-to” place for families with custody problems, its proponents say.
