The teeth in the Practice Book Rules would become considerably sharper if the members of state’s judiciary, when they convene next month, approve revisions drafted by the Rules Committee of the Superior Court.
Strict provisions governing lawyers’ advertisements and automatic disbarment for knowingly misappropriating clients’ funds are some of the proposed changes and additions to be discussed at a public hearing on May 22. The hearing is set to begin at 10 a.m. at the Supreme Court in Hartford.
