Gregory Smith, of Ridgefield, got his law degree from Boston University in 1977. But after a brief stint as a lawyer, he decided instead to go into teaching. He taught for about 30 years, spending some of that time working with special education students.
There came a time when Smith became “restless” with teaching. “I’d outgrown it and I realized I wanted to do more,” Smith said.
