Even though cheerleaders at colleges and universities spend many hours practicing difficult athletic moves to prepare for national competitions, their high-flying efforts do not make the activity a recognized sport.
At least that’s what a precedent setting decision said, when a federal appeals court upheld a decision in favor of keeping a competitive volleyball program at Quinnipiac University.
