Sara and Kraig Socci v. Jeffrey S. Pasiak: Sara Socci, a now 36-year-old married mother of two from Norwalk, did not know what she was getting herself into when she took a part-time office job with Pasiak Construction Services in Stamford six years ago. Just over a week into her new job, she was tied-up, gagged and blindfolded in a robbery gone terribly wrong.
The intruder turned out to be her boss’s close friend, who was out for revenge after learning of his own girlfriend’s unfaithfulness. He was ultimately sent to prison for 10 years and Socci’s boss was ordered to pay her over $800,000 after a civil trial. But the civil case has remained in the courts for several years as the construction company owner appealed the jury’s decision and his insurer has refused to pay up.
