Peter Gaudioso, et al. v. Milford Beach Condominium Association, et al.: Branford cable television technician Peter Gaudioso was called to do an installation at a unit of the Milford Beach condominium complex on a Janaury day a few years ago. The building had a two-step entryway, which was covered with a half inch of ice, embedded with sand. “The stuff had been around for days, if not weeks,” according to Gaudioso’s lawyer, Gerard McEnery of Milford-based Carter Mario Injury Lawyers.
On his way out of the building, Gaudioso opened the door, took one step out, and slipped, falling flat on his back and hitting his head. He called his supervisor at Omni Engineering and was taken to Milford Hospital. The supervisor took photos of the steps. Later that afternoon, at 4:15, the property manager for the condominium association also took photographs of the steps. “The photographs basically told the case. The steps were so badly maintained,” said McEnery.
