Now that the aftermath of the recent snowstorm has settled down, I thought I would record the important things I learned from the news and weather folks on TV. I mean, if we don’t learn from these experiences, we will have to stumble through next time a life-changing weather event occurs without any help.

First off, it appears that there are people who sleep late into the morning and who turn on their televisions at noon to find out what the weather is like outside. To serve this audience, the news folks will broadcast things such as, "If you just got up, you will be surprised to see snow outside this morning." They say this until the early afternoon. I guess if you sleep that late, you are not likely to look out a window to check the weather. TV is a much more reliable source.
