A dispute involving a macaroni and cheese restaurant with a hip-looking website is not the type of case one usually finds on Waterbury’s complex litigation docket. But that’s where two partners in Macdaddy’s of Monroe find themselves these days.

On one side is Robert Dunn, who cooked up the idea for an upscale establishment that serves macaroni with a gourmet twist. Dunn told the Fairfield Voice website last year that he spent 29 years working in fine dining and operated other establishments before deciding to launch his own. "I thought, ‘I don’t have to just have simple mac and cheese,’" Dunn told the Voice. "I could just go nuts with it."
